As part of a two-year agreement with the Victorian government, seven Chemist Warehouse (CWH) stores across the state will become Supercare Pharmacies from June 30, 2018.
The pharmacies, to be partly funded by the state government, will join CWH
Traralgon under the Supercare banner and will operate around the clock, every day of the year. They will all offer 24-seven access to pharmacists for advice, supply of medicines and dispensing prescriptions.
The stores to become Supercare Pharmacies are CWH Cranbourne North, CWH Hoppers Crossing, CWH Keilor East, CWH Melton,CWH Mildura, CWH Ringwood and CWH Shepparton.
A free on-site-nurse service will also be available daily from 6pm to 10pm and provide face-to-face health advice and treatment for minor injuries and illness,
wound management, a range of immunisations, health screening, sexual-health
advice and referrals to other services.
The government’s Supercare Pharmacy initiative gives the local community
an alternative to visiting emergency departments for minor injury or illness after
hours, but doesn’t replace doctors and/or the need for emergency hospital
