Launch of pharmacy-to-home delivery service

The Kings Group and The Pharmacy Guild of Australia have announced a strategic partnership and launch of the Pharmacy to Home Delivery Service through subsidiary Gold Cross products and services.

Since 2016, Kings has been working with Gold Cross to design, trial and review the best solution for pharmacies to service customer demand in today’s logistics landscape. Gold Cross, in conjunction with Kings Logistics experts, have developed and refined a fit-for-purpose service, custom built for Australian pharmacies.

The Pharmacy to Home Delivery Service empowers pharmacies to offer safe and reliable deliveries to customers as an extension of their business performed by qualified logistics professionals armed with secured track and trace and route optimisation technology. Based on their customer demands, pharmacies are able to arrange permanent, regular drivers to create familiarity with clients and/or opt to utilise additional scaled usage via ad-hoc callouts when required.

All delivery drivers are hand-picked to ensure the pharmacy’s reputation and image are maintained. In addition to Kings’ well-established induction program, drivers complete specialised training on medicines handling, pharmacy layout, culture, operations and customer service. This provides pharmacies with the confidence their quality of service will be maintained.

The Pharmacy to Home Delivery Service will be showcased at the upcoming Sigma Healthcare National Retail Conference (April 30-May 2) and the Australian Pharmacy Professional Conference and Trade Exhibition (May 3-6).
